6/7/16 - Acquisition - Ogdensburg (New York), Frederic Remington Museum of Art - C’est l’une des rares femmes sculpteurs qui s’imposa sur la scène américaine au début du XXe siècle. Ses statues monumentales se dressent dans plusieurs villes de l’État de New York : on doit en effet à Sally James Farnham des monuments en mémoire de la guerre de Sécession notamment Spirit of Liberty, ou bien en mémoire de la Première Guerre mondiale, Like Hell You Can. Son œuvre la plus connue est sans doute la figure de Simon Bolivar (1921) dans Central Park ; Bolivar que l’on retrouve à Washington, sur une frise…
