Un portrait de la duchesse de Manchester entre au Foundling Museum
30/1/19 - Acquisition - Londres, The Foundling Museum - Fondé à Londres en 1739 par Thomas Coram, le Foundling Hospital recueillait les enfants abandonnés. L’institution devint un musée après sa fermeture en 1951. Elle fut en réalité un lieu artistique dès sa création puisque, pour trouver des financements, des expositions furent organisées par Hogarth et des concerts par Haendel.
