Deux portraits par Rembrandt Peale entrent au Columbus Museum

21/8/12 - Acquisitions - Columbus, Museum of Art - Le Columbus Museum vient de recevoir le don, par Dan et Kathelen Amos, des portraits de George et Martha Washington peints par Rembrandt Peale (ill. 1 et 2). Dotés de leur cadre d’époque, ces deux pendants avaient été commandés en 1855 par William Garraway Morehead, homme d’affaires de Philadelphie.
