7/5/13 - Acquisition - Fort Worth, Amon Carter Museum of American Art - L’Amon Carter Museum of American Art a récemment annoncé l’acquisition d’une œuvre de Robert Seldon Duncanson (1821-1872), présenté comme le premier artiste afro-américain de renommée internationale. Intitulé Les Grottes et peint en 1869, le tableau appartenait au révérend Richard Sutton Rust (1815–1906), pasteur méthodiste, dans la famille duquel il est resté jusqu’à son achat par le musée en 2012 qui l’expose au public depuis le 4 mai dernier.
