7/2/17 - Acquisitions - Perpignan, Musée Hyacinthe Rigaud - Un tableau de Hyacinthe Rigaud est récemment réapparu : découvert par Michel Reymondin, il se trouvait dans une collection suédoise et vient d’être acheté par le musée de Perpignan. Il s’agit d’un portrait représentant le frère de l’artiste, Gaspard Rigaud (ill. 1).
Peint en 1691, il correspond peut-être à celui qui fut exposé au Salon de 1704, en pendant à un Autoportrait de Hyacinthe Rigaud. C’est ce que suggère Ariane James-Sarazin dans le catalogue raisonné de l’œuvre du maître publié aux éditions Faton en…
